A word from the artist Éric Villeneuve:

In my work, I am mainly interested in architecture, landscapes and different elements of nature.

I first try to capture images of the same object or the same environment, varying my angle of approach.

This allows me to reconstruct an almost three-dimensional image of the photographed object, by superimposing these different shots using a computer graphics process.

In the end, depending on the variations in saturation, this process offers an almost ghostly image, in which several subtleties are concealed, detectable little by little, as the eye travels over the work.

It is as if an object were revealing its multiple facets to us in a single image, or as if several different views of the same environment were being revealed to us all at once: our perceptions change depending on the angle.

The memory of a place or an object also changes with time, losing its precision. We retain a fleeting, blurred image of it, and at times a particular detail comes to mind, but rarely the place or the object in its entirety.

Memory is selective and often elusive: this is what I mainly try to illustrate in my approach.
