A word from the artist Daniel Leroux:
Opulent, introspective, daring and, dare I say it, explosive, are all adjectives that I would use to describe the works that I present and which, in general, reflect and dictate my “visual vocabulary”.
Deeply rooted in an expressionist perspective and approach, they are based on and reflect, as you will no doubt guess, my training in fashion and my passion for the history of costume.
They are also, and above all, the expression of a need to explore the human figure through the most spontaneous gesture, the emotion of the moment and an array of colors that I favor in each of my creations.
Acrylic, soft pastels, graphite and colored pencils are all used.
